Dear Patriot Family,
I was notified this morning that one of our Valley staff members has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member along with immediate family is currently in quarantine and will remain in quarantine pending a medical release. Following CDC guidelines and protocols set out by TEA, it has been determined that no additional student or staff member has been in “close contact” with this employee. According to CDC guidelines, “Close contact” is described as being directly exposed to infectious secretions, e.g., being coughed on, OR being within 6 feet for a cumulative duration of 15 minutes. We will keep you updated on any staff and student COVID-19 positive test results and close contact determinations.
